The Sportbad St. Jakob is located on the south-eastern edge of the city of Basel and is easily accessible by public transport (tram and bus stops nearby), and private vehicles (motorway exit Basel Süd/St. Jakob).

Parking spaces are available in our own car park.

Arrival by car from the direction of Lucerne, Berne, Zurich:

Take the A2 motorway in the direction of "Basel". You will pass through the "Schweizerhalle" gallery. Follow the signs for "Delémont". Please take the exit "Basel-St. Jakob". Always follow the signs for "Basel-St. Jakob". After the motorway exit, you will come to a set of traffic lights. Please keep to the left. Follow the signs for "St. Jakobshalle" through the subway. Turn right after the subway and you will arrive directly at the car park of the St. Jakobshalle Basel.

Arrival by car from the direction of Delémont, Laufen:

Motorway J18 from Delémont in the direction of Basel. Please take the exit "Basel-St. Jakob/Muttenz-Industrie". After the exit, you will come to a set of traffic lights. Please stay in the left lane. After turning left, drive past the St. Jakobshalle Basel (left side, right St. Jakob-Park). Again, please stay in the left lane. At the next set of traffic lights, turn left and follow the parking signs for St. Jakobshalle Basel.

Arrival by car from Germany/France:

Take the A5 motorway from Karlsruhe and Freiburg. You will arrive at the Weil am Rhein border crossing. Attention: Motorway vignette compulsory. After crossing the border, you will see the sign "St. Jakob". Follow the signs for "Luzern, Bern, Zürich, Delémont, Basel-Süd/St. Jakob". Take the exit "Basel-Süd/St. Jakob". Follow "Basel-St.Jakob" After the motorway exit you will reach a traffic light. Please keep to the left. Follow the signs for "St. Jakobshalle" through the subway. Turn right after the subway and you will arrive directly at the car park of the St. Jakobshalle Basel.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Arrival by tram and bus: The St. Jakobshalle is very easy to reach by public transport. Journey time from SBB station to St. Jakob: approx. 20 minutes. From Badischer Bahnhof approx. 15 minutes.

The "St. Jakob" stop for tram line 14 and bus line 36 is directly in front of the St. Jakobshalle. You can find timetables and fares at www.bvb.ch.

Arrival by train: Nearest train station: "Basel SBB" (Switzerland) and Badischer Bahnhof (Germany).

With half-hourly connections to Zurich (approx. 60 minutes journey time), Bern (approx. 80 minutes journey time), Lucerne (approx. 80 minutes journey time), St. Gallen (approx. 120 minutes journey time) and hourly connections to Geneva (approx. 180 minutes journey time).

Route from SBB station to St. Jakobshalle Basel

Take tram line 8, 10 or 11 one stop to "Aeschenplatz", then tram line 14 to "St. Jakob" (journey time approx. 20 minutes).

Route from Badischer Bahnhof to St. Jakobshalle Basel

Take bus line 36 (stop in front of McDonalds) to St. Jakob (journey time approx. 15 minutes)
